The objective of this work is to standardize measurement data representation to facilitate usability. DAML is selected as a standard representation for the repository data so that pieces of data can be instances of ontology classes. In this way any network measurement data can be merged. This means that data can be retrieved and/or processed semantically. The advantages of this approach are: • Provides a self-documenting structure • Facilitates data merging • Allows results to be semantically relevant • Facilitates reasoning • Supports data mining and data analysis. The following files are internet topology files collected by the DIMES team. Those files were translated to DAML format using a global network ontology developed by the CLAES team. June 2005:
